Olympic Fever - Day 2

Seriously I think I spent 95% of my day watching the Olympics. It was a great day to be feeling a little tired and preggo because the day-time TV was so good.

I get so excited about it that it I'm a little embarrassed. I'm rooting for everyone and loving every minute of it.

Thank goodness it only comes around every two years or I'd be in such trouble.

Where has Morgan gone?

She's been busy reading Harry Potter.
Lots of Harry Potter.
And if she wasn't sharing the book with her husband she would be finished.
Of course she did go ahead and read the epilogue and last 4 chapters first, but that is besides the point.

(she's also been knitting and playing katamari damacy. good times!)

When you find yourself in your sun-porch covered in blue paint and dancing your heart out you know it has been a good day.

A Very Good Day.

We painted our previously dark beige sun-porch a vibrant blue today. It looks good, but will take some getting used to. Once we pull up the beige carpet and replace it with slate tile it will look fantastic. We also planted the pots on the front porch and had lunch with Michael's family. All of these things are great and make a good day, but finding your The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert soundtrack takes the day to a whole new level!
I had forgotten how much I love those disco classics! You have to smile when Shake Your Groove Thing starts, and who doesn't love Momma Mia? So there I was singing and dancing, dripping blue paint and just having a best time. Even Michael seemed to have a good time.
It took me back to Jr. year when we did The Boys Next Door and painted sets and just had the most wonderful friends. Feather boas, and not giving a damn what anyone thinks, just having fun. Pure Joy.

Obsessive

I tend to be a little on the obsessive side. Not to the point of Alexa (see her website - that's obsessed!) but over little things and only for short periods of time. it started long, long ago when I was just a wee little morgan. When I was twelve a kept a detailed ledger taped to the back of my closet where I recorded all my babysitting money and then carefully placed the cash in three separate envelopes. One for savings, one for spending and one to buy something great at the end of the summer. I was frightening detailed. It only lasted that summer as my money management skills now really suck.
Also in my closet I discovered the joy that a well organized and perfectly folded wardrobe can bring. This is really the first time that the obsessions over things was brought to my attention. After I had spent hours pulling every piece of clothing out of my closet and then rehanging or refolding then my Mom came in to my room and stated "You are really obsessive about things." I deny ed the accusation but the thought that I am or could be really obsessive has stayed with me. I totally AM!!
Right now I am obsessed with crossword puzzles. I can't get enough. I have done 5 today. Not hard ones, but not really easy ones either. So that's my obsession of the moment, we'll see where I go next.
